The initial consultation is a complimentary 15-minute conversation designed to give me a basic understanding of your situation and what you are hoping to accomplish.
You do not need to have every detail organized before we speak. I will ask enough questions to understand the general circumstances, identify the type of investigative assistance you may need, and determine whether the matter is something I may be able to help with.
This initial conversation is not a full case consultation or investigation. Its purpose is simply to determine whether it makes sense to take the next step.
There is no obligation to proceed, and an initial consultation does not mean that I have accepted the case.

A Clear Process Before Work Begins
01 — INITIAL CONSULTATION
We begin with a complimentary 15-minute conversation. I listen to the basic circumstances, discuss what you are trying to accomplish, and determine whether I may be able to assist.
02 — INVESTIGATIVE REQUEST
If it appears appropriate to continue, I will ask you to complete an investigative request form. This provides the additional information I need to review the matter more carefully.
03 — CASE REVIEW & DETAILED CONSULTATION
I review the information you provide. If the matter is something I can consider accepting, we can schedule a more detailed consultation to discuss the circumstances, objectives, possible investigative approach, and questions that need to be addressed.
04 — CASE ACCEPTANCE
If I agree to accept the case and you decide to proceed, the appropriate agreements, authorization, and other requirements must be completed before investigative work begins.
A phone conversation, investigative request, or consultation does not by itself establish that Ken Bray Investigations has accepted your case. Work begins only after I have accepted the case and the required agreements and authorization are in place.

You do not need to prepare a complete case file for the initial consultation. However, having some basic information available can help me understand the situation and make better use of our time together.

Yes. I offer a complimentary 15-minute initial consultation to learn the basic circumstances of your situation and determine whether I may be able to assist.
What happens during the initial consultation?
I will ask about the general circumstances, what you are trying to accomplish, and the information you currently have. The purpose is to understand the situation well enough to determine whether taking the next step may be appropriate.
Do I need to complete a form before speaking with you?
Yes. Start by completing the consultation request form with basic information about your situation. I will review the request and contact you regarding the complimentary initial consultation. If it appears appropriate to continue after our conversation, I may then ask you to complete a more detailed investigative request form so I can evaluate the matter further.
Does a consultation mean you have accepted my case?
No. An initial conversation, investigative request, or detailed consultation does not mean that I have accepted the case. I must review the circumstances and agree to accept the matter before any investigative work begins.
What happens after I submit an investigative request?
I review the information provided to determine whether the matter is something I can consider accepting. If appropriate, we can then schedule a more detailed consultation to discuss the circumstances, objectives, and possible next steps.
Should I send evidence or sensitive documents before the consultation?
Generally, there is no need to send extensive or highly sensitive material during the initial inquiry. If I need documents, photographs, records, or other information to evaluate the matter, I will let you know what would be helpful.
What types of matters can I discuss during a consultation?
You may contact me about surveillance, domestic investigations, locates, bug sweeps and TSCM, behavioral analysis, personal security, or another legitimate investigative need. If you are unsure whether your situation fits a particular service, we can discuss that during the initial conversation.
What if my situation is urgent?
